Carlow Manager Turlough O’Brien has given his squad a clean bill of health for Wednesday’s second round clash with neighbours Kildare in Athy at 7.30pm. “The game, coming so soon after Sunday, gives us a chance to shuffle the deck and let other guys have decent game time”, said O’Brien today. The Manager was in upbeat mood as he assessed yesterday’s narrow defeat to UCD; “The game was a great run out for us and a lot of our lads showed very good form so early in the season”. All roads lead to Athy on Wednesday evening as we look forward to the local derby.
