WEEKEND REPORT

And so, after an eventful weekend, the pairings for both the Michael Lyng Motors Senior & Talbot Hotel Intermediate Football Championship Finals have been decided.

In the first game of the weekend a powerful Naomh Eoin side overcame a spirited Clonmore in the IFC semi and later that evening, after a delay, Palatine eventually emerged victorious over MLR in a fiery affair.

On Sunday, a classy St. Andrews eventually overcame a determined Kilbride in the other Intermediate semi and Rathvilly saw off Old Leighlin by virtue of their superior scoring power to book their place in the Senior decider.

The SFC County Final between Palatine & Rathvilly is set for Sunday October 9th with the Intermediate Final the day before, 8th Oct.

Carlow GAA would also like to take this opportunity to apologise to all for the delay on Saturday evening. Human error on our behalf was the cause of the floodlighting issue. We have taken immediate steps to rectify this issue and would hope that it will never happen again. The lighting of the stadium is a learning curve for the Event Management team and we would ask for your patience as we find our way. Apologies again and thanks to all for your co-operation.
